Thrasher’s Bust or Bail w/ Ryan Sheckler

We were out in San Francisco last weekend for Thrasher Magazine’s Bust or Bail contest. It was a one hour long event held at the infamous Paul Revere 16 stair. Paul Rodriguez and Ryan Sheckler both skated but Paul went for a switch flip attempt as his first thing out of the car and fell victim to a heel bruise. Sheckler landed multiple tricks to take first place. Check Plan B’s site for more info soon.

North by Northwest

Just finished a Plan B week in Portland which started with Ryan Sheckler taking first at the Dew Tour and Paul Rodriguez close behind in second. Spent the rest of the week hitting the streets of Portland. We have now moved on to San Francisco where Thrasher Magazine is holding their “Bust or Bail” contest on Saturday. Check back for a recap in a few days.

Tony Hawk Foundation Benefit

Stand Up for Skateparks is an annual benefit held in Beverly Hills at Ron Burkle’s Green Acres estate to raise money to build skateparks in low income neighborhoods. This year with the support of Sean “Diddy” Combs and Sirius Radio’s Scott Greenstein, the foundation branched out and brought the event to the east coast with an event in the Hamptons. Celebrities such as Russell Simmons, Jon Bon Jovi, Vern Troyer, Wandelai Silva and many others lent their support to raise money for a good cause. For more info on the Tony Hawk Foundation visit their website.

Rain was expected all day but held off until I got back to my little Hamptons cabin. Hopefully the Hamptons event will become a yearly thing and the foundation will benefit from more funding.
